New Scholarship Available for MPP Course

There is a new scholarship available for p-h-c businesses that want to send an employee to the PHCC Educational Foundation’s Managing PHC Projects Course conducted at Purdue University in Lafayette, Ind.

One $2,500 scholarship will be awarded each year starting in 2002. The deadline to apply for a 2002 scholarship is Nov. 1, 2001. To receive an application, contact Leigh Ann Linney or John Zink at (800) 533-7694.

Businesses applying for the scholarship must currently be active members of Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors-National Association and must have maintained active member status for at least the two-year period prior to the date of the scholarship application. The award will be applied to the scholarship registrant’s class fee.

The Managing PHC Projects Course was designed for the PHCC Educational Foundation by PHCC contractors and Purdue University faculty to give participants the tools they need to properly manage construction projects and increase their profitability and productivity. Each classroom session gives participants a tool, an idea or a new way of doing business that they can take back home and implement.

Limited reservations are still available for the next course. Session one will be held Oct. 9-14 and session two is scheduled for Dec. 4-9. (The scholarship is not available for these 2001 classes. The award will be available for 2002 class sessions.)

For more information or to register for the last course of 2001, please contact John Zink at (800) 533-7694.
